About the Organisation

Marthakal Homeland Resource Centre is a wide ranging service incorporating the Marthakal Galiwinku Workshop, Building Construction and Maintenance, Barge Services, Sea and Land Freight, Elcho Island Arts Centre and the Community Development Employment Program, all dedicated to the needs of approximately 2,600 Indigenous Australians, with 600 living in their traditional homelands.

About the Opportunity

Marthakal Homeland Resource Centre has a unique opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join their team on Elcho Island, NT. The Centre is offering a minimum contract of 12 months with the chance to continue in the role.

In this role, you will be required to maintain and, where able, improve the company's mainframe operating system.

There are currently several roles that Marthakal Homelands are recruiting for and if accompanied by your spouse, the company will assist in looking for a suitable opportunity for them, within a separate division of the organisation - this is a great incentive for couples and families to apply!

In addition, you will enjoy an exceptional salary of $60,000-$70,000 (commensurate based on experience) plus superannuation, along with a fantastic range of further benefits, including:

Based at the township of Galiwin'ku, your accommodation will comprise a fully self-contained house with all amenities provided, including an internet and electricity allowance!

If required for work, a car will also be supplied, which can be used for limited private use. Please note NO ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED ON THE ISLAND.

Employees will be rewarded for satisfactory outcomes on their reviews every six months with a FOIL bonus of a return airfare from Galiwinku to Darwin, including one week paid leave and accommodation!
